Whitworth Ranch Retreat

Mom and I are going Junkin! 

We will be getting up early tomorrow and heading to Mckinney, TX 

for the 3rd Monday trade days. 

This will be a new adventure for us, we have never gone before. 

We don't know what

to expect, but I am sure it will be fun. 

There is nothing like finding someone's trash and turning into a new 

shiny treasure. Some we keep, some we give away and the really

special ones get displayed at the retreat. 

Right now I am on the hunt for silver tea pots, creamers and sugar bowls. 

My guests will transform these

into beautiful pin cushions, embellished with flowers, head pins,

 hand dyed ribbons and jewels. 

We will also be looking for all kinds of fabrics.We use these to 

make beautiful centerpieces for our tables and our buffets. 

There is something great about finding that perfect piece

of lace that someone has thrown away. Whether it has a hole, 

a stain, or is just tired and droopy. We will tea dye it, add some sparkle and before

you know it, life has been restored.
